Back in March, 24kGoldn released his debut LP El Dorado, which saw 13 cuts with additional features from iann dior, Swae Lee, DaBaby, and Future. Last that, the San Francisco rising star delivered a new visual from said album for the Future-assisted cut “Company,” which sees the the two artists harmonizing about their hedonistic lifestyles:
“I get it lit, I get it hot, just ask the real niggas on my block, she wanna dance, well, I got the moves, I’m lookin’ like Michael Jackson in these shoes, I got a couple hoes I’ve been lovin’ on, but that shit don’t mean nothin’ to me, I got a couple blunts I’ve been rollin’ up, just to keep me some company…”
Directed by DAPS, the accompanying clip for “Company” takes place in a palatial residence resembling the Joffer estate from Coming To America, complete with golden accents all over. Both 24kGoldn and Future spend the clip traversing through this location as a bevy of beauties appear throughout.
Last year, 24kGoldn received a proper introduction as one of XXL’s Freshman class, rapping and interviewing alongside NLE Choppa, Polo G, Lil Tjay, Fivio Foreign, Jack Harlow, Rod Wave, Mulatto, Lil Keed, and more. That same timeframe also saw him accomplish a feat few others have this early in their career — the El Dorado single “Mood” became a massive success, topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart (and many others across the globe) and earning a Platinum certification four times over and counting.
Being from the Bay Area, it’s only right for 24kGoldn to rep his home team — which is exactly what happened when he teamed up with Jared Gustadt and Kinder’s Audio Chateau to create “Warriors’ Freestyle,” an obvious ode to the Golden State Warriors. That track will be the official theme song for the team associated “Beyond28” podcast.
