It’s been about a year since Blueface liberated Famous Cryp (Reloaded), the deluxe edition of his 2018 breakout project Famous Cryp. Altogether, fans received a healthy 22 cuts with plenty of assists from Snoop Dogg, Cardi B, YG, Asian Doll, NLE Choppa, Sada Baby, 03 Greedo, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Moneybagg Yo, and more. Since then, Blueface has chosen to bring fans content through another medium – his OnlyFans-exclusive reality show “Blue Girls Club,” which has created quite a bit of controversy since its inception. Utilizing the aforementioned series, this past April then saw the Cali rapper return to wax with “BGC,” a collaboration with DDG.
Today, he makes a big return with “Outside,” a collaboration with Dallas rising star OG Bobby Billions. The song itself is a re-imagining of Bobby Billions’ single with late artist Mo3 — even more notable is the fact that Blueface previously “re-imagined” another song titled “Outside” alongside TruCarr for his aforementioned body of work. Produced by DeeMarc, the track is a juxtaposition of sorts between the artists’ spiritually and street backgrounds:
“I ain’t pray for these baguettes, I pray for better days, I ain’t pray for that new vet, I’d rather have my dogs back, Lord, protect me with this TEC, I ain’t pray for this Patek, remember the day I got the text, ‘Another fatherless child,’ can’t act right, ‘cause they left him fatherless, no hood harder than fatherhood, who gon’ teach your son to go farther than father did? All these kids raising all these kids…”
Directed by Reel Goats, this version of “Outside” sees the duo in church during an apparent funeral, where loved ones let their tears flow as the choir assists with the music from the background. Elsewhere, Blueface and Bobby Billions are seen with a crowd that’s all dressed in black, adding to the melancholy nature of the clip.
