Sinéad Harnett has officially unleashed her thoughtful sophomore album Ready Is Always Too Late. Preceding the project, Harnett gave listeners a taste of what was to come by releasing singles like “Stickin’” with Masego and VanJess and “Take Me Away” featuring EarthGang. She also paired the album release with the official lyric video for the title track, and on the song, she asks some questions about love she may or may not want the answers to:

The lovely songstress made sure to stop and give an explanation about her thought process behind the title of the project. “Ready has often been an excuse, and one I didn’t want to use anymore,” Harnett says via press release. “I wasn’t ready to be proud of the skin I was in, to find my inner confidence or to truly practice self-love. But I’m doing it now and it’s an ongoing, crazy and unpredictable journey that I’m grateful for.”

In 2019, Sinéad saw the release of her long-awaited debut album, Lessons in Love. The London-born R&B vocalist came onto the scene thanks to a series of major collaborations with the likes of Disclosure (“Boiling”), Kaytranada (“Heal You” featuring Wretch 32, “Say What You Mean”), Snakeships (“No Other Way,” “Rather Be With You”), and on three of Rudimental’s tracks off his UK #1 album Home (“Home,” “Hide,” and “Baby” with MNEK).
