Drake is continuing to tease fans for his impending album, Certified Lover Boy. Early Friday morning (May 21), the 6 God uploaded a video to his Instagram account with a minute-long snippet of an unreleased track, presumably a cut from CLB.

“Fair Trade,” Drizzy captioned the clip, which could be the song’s title.

In the snippet, Drake raps, “I’ve been losing friends and finding peace/ But honestly that sound like a fair trade to me.”

“Imitation isn’t flattery, it’s just annoying me/ And I’m too about it/ And the dirt that they threw on my name turned to soil and I grew up out it,” he adds.

Friends and fans sounded off about the snippet in the post’s comments, including Quavo, who wrote, “On god.”

Drake has been teasing Certified Lover Boy over the past year and ended up delaying the project’s January release while he was recovering from a knee injury. A tentative April release, reported by DJ Akademiks, also came and went, and the rap star hasn’t offered any official details about CLB’s drop date since.

Drake has stayed active, however, recently appearing on Nicki Minaj’s new single, “Seeing Green,” alongside Lil Wayne.

He also made Billboard history back in March with the release of his Scary Hours 2 EP. The project’s three tracks “What’s Next,” “Wants and Needs” featuring Lil Baby and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” with Rick Ross debuted at No. 1, 2 and 3, respectively, on the Hot 100 — a feat that no other artist has accomplished before.

Drake was also recently announced as Billboard’s Artist of the Decade, which he will be awarded with at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards this Sunday (May 23). Drake reacted to the huge honor on social media, writing, “JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ!”
