Today, Kodak Black unveils his latest body of work Haitian Boy Kodak, which sees eight dope cuts from the Floridian star. In addition to the EP release, Kodak also blesses his fans with a top quality visual for the standout track “Basement on Fire,” a RBP, Rayan, Dyryk, Goose the Guru, and ARNOLDISDEAD-produced offering that sees Kodak rapping about women and street subject matter:

“I make the ho popular, she used to work, Mickey D’s, smokin’ pills with the trees, you niggas can’t intervene, it be too much rank, come wit’ me, I was on the crate selling weed, get a nigga stank for no reason, then I’m on a date overseas, I’m in the raves throwin’ molly, you out there chasin’ her body, she want some braces, I got it/”

Directed by Cotto Over Did It, the accompanying clip for “Basement on Fire” takes some particularly dark turns, beginning with a priest trying to exorcise demons out of a machete-wielding Kodak as masked men holding severed heads stand behind him. In another, more fiery location, Kodak performs his lyrics while his crew joins in nearby. The clip ends with the rapper leaving a building that he presumably set ablaze.

Haitian Boy Kodak follows last year’s Bill Israel, Kodak’s third official LP that was released during his life in captivity. That project saw 11 tracks with contributions from Tory Lanez, Jackboy, Gucci Mane, CBE, and Lil Yachty — the last of whom recruited an at-the-time newly freed Kodak for the well-received single “Hit Bout It.” More recently, Kodak could also be heard on YNE Melly’s “Thugged Out” — notably, Kodak shouted out the still-incarcerated Melly on “Basement On Fire.”
