Late last year, Trippie Redd revealed that he would soon be releasing a new body of work titled TRIP AT KNIGHT, which acts as the sequel to his 2018 debut LP LIFE’S A TRIP. Today, the Ohio emcee unveils a new single from said project titled “Miss The Rage,” which features an assist from Playboi Carti and sees the two addressing both street and wealthy subject matter over production from Loesoe:
“Listen, GTA, we shoot at helicopters, monsters, we pull up with sticks and hella choppers, oppers, we don’t fuck with niggas, they the cops, I put my heart and soul into the Glock, bitch, it’s us, never them, you ain’t that, bitch, I’m him, you get zapped if it’s static, hear that MAC, it go “Pew” Smokin’ gas, smell the fumes, I’m in that ‘Vette, it go ‘Vyoom’/”
TRIP AT KNIGHT follows last October’s Pegasus, a 26-track offering that saw a slew of appearances from PARTYNEXTDOOR, Chris Brown, Rich The Kid, Young Thug, Future, Quavo, Busta Rhymes, Sean Kingston, Doe Boy, Lil Wayne, Swae Lee, and more. As with previous drops, Pegasus saw considerable success on the Billboard 200 chart — it peaked at number two thanks to an impressive 60,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release. Assisting with Travis Barker, a deluxe edition of Pegasus was later released — titled Neon Shark vs. Pegasus — that added on 14 cuts and more experimental collaborations with Machine Gun Kelly, blackbear, Chino Moreno, Scarlxrd, and ZillaKami.
Meanwhile, Playboi Carti is still sailing off the release of his sophomore album Whole Lotta Red, a 24-track body of work with assists from Kanye West, Kid Cudi, and Future. That project earned Carti his first number-one debut on the Billboard 200 thanks to 100,000 units sold.
