Earlier this year in April, K Camp’s Kiss 5 project arrived in time to be played through fans speakers as they coped with quarantine. Months later, the Atlanta artist circled back around to drop the deluxe version of the project, which now includes six additional tracks and a new feature from Sevyn Streeter. A brand new visual from the deluxe has now arrived, bringing more life to the collab track “Drop My Feelings” with RARE Sound partner iAmTheGenius. On the song, K Camp narrates a night with someone who he’s pursuing:
Got a lil’ bitch that I met last night, shit, I been tryna take her ass out/ Made me some mail, but you know I want more, shit, you know I’m gon’ figure that out/ Hustle, hustle (Hustle), hustle (Hustle), even in a drought
Rockin’ Dior, pocket full of hunnids, I ain’t gettin’ what? Better watch your mouth, walked in with ‘bout 30K in my trousers/ Pop me a ten, we gon’ fuck for hours, I got hoes in Miami, in Broward (Broward)/
Prior to the project’s arrival, K Camp dropped off cuts like his “Genuine Love (Freestyle)” to hold fans over until the release of the deluxe album. KISS 5 is the final installment of his series and included features from Ari Lennox, Jeremih, Yella Beezy, Yung Bleu, Wale, 6lack, and more. In July, K Camp released RARE Family as a follow up project to keep the momentum going.
From the project, Camp shared a visual for his collab song with Jacquees titled “What’s On Your Mind” and also for “Top 10” featuring Yella Beezy. He also linked with Rubi Rose for her single “Pogo” and tapped in with True Story Gee on the singles “Big Dawg Status” and “Racks” this year.
