At the top of April, Sylvan LaCue unleashed Young Sylvan Ep. 2, the second installment of his ongoing Young Sylvan series. The new six track body of work includes features from Drakeo The Ruler, Orianthi, and two from Grandmaster Vic. LaCue has released his latest visual “Peter Pan,” which opens up with him floating high in the sky as he delivers his intro verse:

Life don’t come with tips, someday I’ll be rich/ At time I feel tense, light two spliffs ignite my bliss/ Shoot my shot why miss, all in the wrist, life is a trip/ They want me humble, I don’t see the sense

We favor the bold, the real don’t exist, watch me hype my drip, you ain’t seen shit quite like this/ From the roota to the toota, I’m equipped, Peter Pan take flight n***a shoot it if ya hit/ Pardon my dream but I insist, Tiggity Tisk, what’s up with this/ I can’t complain but don’t get it twist

The visual is Sylvan’s way of paying respect to a film that influenced him. “This song and music video was made to pay homage to the movie ‘Hook’ and the spirit of the inner child that we often either forget about, or we refuse to let go of. Rest in Peace Robin Williams,” he wrote.

Prior to this was his 2018 album Apologies in Advance. Along with the recent release, Sylvan has made sure to pair it with a visual (“Young Sylvan Back”) and include a set of rules he wishes for fans to follow. “Please believe I will be enforcing them expeditiously,” he writes as he lays out the guidelines, which included things like “First rule of Young Sylvan is you do not ask Young Sylvan about Young Sylvan” and “Must be to at MAX levels.”
