As DMX’s family members arrive at the White Plains, NY hospital he is currently in, TMZ is reporting that X’s mom Arnett Simmons and fiancée Desiree Lindstrom have been by his side.

An unnamed source continues to update TMZ with intricate details and inside information. Apparently, X’s mom and Ms. Lindstrom were allowed into the ICU where the multi-platinum rapper remains unresponsive. Several of his kids are on the way to the hospital with hopes of seeing their father recover.

DMX’s has been hospitalized since Friday (April 2) night after he reportedly suffered a heart attack due to an overdose. The news sent shockwaves through the hip hop community, as several of the rapper’s friends and collaborators took to their social media accounts to share well-wishes and send their prayers to the 50-year-old entertainer.

Swizz Beatz simply shared a cryptic post of a sunset on Instagram, but followed up today with a reel’s worth of highlights from the Dark Man X’s legendary career. He captioned the post, “We love you my brother let’s keep the vibes up.” Ja Rule, who’s name trended on Twitter earlier today, perhaps due to his close affiliation with DMX, shared a similar message this morning. “Woke up with this heavy on my heart this morning get well my brother!!!” he wrote via Instagram.

X’s attorney, Murray Richman, provided an update on the matter to ABC yesterday afternoon. He disclosed that he spoke with family members and confirmed the Ruff Ryders rapper was in grave condition and on life support. The situation got convoluted a little later, when Richman told Pix 11 that X was taken off life support and able to breathe on his own. Shortly after, he recanted his statement in an interview with Rolling Stone. Richman admit that he received the “wrong information.”

Paramedics reportedly attempted to resuscitate the rapper for half an hour to no avail. Doctors informed the family the lack of oxygen severely impacted his brain.
