Cardi B is shutting down rumors that Eminem declined a feature request for her forthcoming album.
Twitter account @plutovenom initially tweeted about the alleged song rejection on Wednesday (March 24). “Insiders Report: that Eminem has now declined a ft request for Cardi B’s upcoming project: says, ‘She doesn’t care about the culture or her craft,’” the page tweeted, adding, “Don’t shoot me. I’m just reporting what the insiders said.”
“BIG LIES…I get off the internet and ya makin shit up,” Cardi responded on Thursday (March 25). “I haven’t sent no songs to no artist yet. Love his work and much respect. This don’t even make sense.”
“Since they like to make up LIES about me cause they’re so obsessed, just know this .. y’all laughing about this fake rumor, but wait until y’all see these next collabs,” the “Bodak Yellow” rapper wrote in a follow-up tweet.
Cardi has been using her platform to dispel a lot of rumors lately. After celebrating the news that her newest single “Up” became her fifth Hot 100 No. 1, the Bronx native took to Instagram to clear up payola —the illegal practice of bribing a radio station to increase airplay — accusations.
“It’s sad that when I win people gotta scramble with lies for my success,” she wrote. “Like they ain’t saw everybody — people coming out Amazon trucks and ambulances dancing [to] my shit. They love to run with that ‘Payola’ to make them feel better. Mind you, I didn’t debut number 1 because of my low radio play and ‘WAP’ barely made radio cause it was so explicit. Yet [and] still, I made number 1.”
“WHEN YOU START WINNING THE STORIES START SPINNING!!!” she added. “Imma address all the hate on my album tho. Wait on it!!!”
