Charlotte Hornets forward PJ Washington and Brittany Renner are expecting their first child together, the couple announced on Instagram. On Sunday (March 21), both the professional basketball player and fitness model shared a series of maternity shots on their respective accounts and revealed the baby’s gender.

“Can’t wait to meet my lil man,” Washington wrote alongside the photos.

Renner also shared the pictures and commented on Washington’s post, “My king and prince.”

Underneath both posts, fans and friends reacted to the news.

Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander wrote, “Congrats Big monnnnnnnn.”

Actress Skai Jackson added to Renner, “Omggg congrats.”

Renner and Washington confirmed their relationship status last month on Renner’s 29th birthday. However, the couple is rumored to have been dating for over a year.

“You have been a huge blessing and you have helped me tremendously in every aspect of my life,” Washington wrote in a lengthy Instagram post confirming their relationship. “I couldn’t imagine a life without you in it. Our relationship has had its ups and downs but there is no place I’d rather be. Through thick and thin I know you will always be on my side. I love you will all my heart and I hope you have a great birthday [Brittany] HAPPY BIRTHDAY.”

Renner added in a comment, “You make me better in every way and inspire me daily. I love you so much babe, seriously. You’re the most amazing man EVER. This love is better than any fairytale because it’s the real thing. You’re truly 1 of 1. I’ll take ups and downs with you any day of the week as long as I get to do this thing called life with you!!! Thank you for being YOU and loving my crazy ass.”
