Los Angeles’ very own Kalan.FrFr has just dropped off his brand new TwoFr2 project. Prior to its release, fans were able to enjoy a few previews of what was to come, including singles like “Scoring” and the Mozzy-assisted “No Love.” Today, Kalan premieres an official music video for the latter track, which finds the duo cruising the streets of California as Kalan delivers his verse about the importance of earning their respect:
Ain’t nobody give us the love we had to earn it, I done fell in love with the drugs it served a purpose/ How you gone judge me when you not perfect, all my L’s turn into W’s they all worth it/ All my dubs turn into 100’s I’m getting cash now, tell my homies walk in the store they all pulling cash out/ You ain’t a boss until yo n***as eating, it get scary when I’m broke I turn into a demon/ It get scary in the field I still hear momma screaming/ God don’t take my baby from me.
The collab was a breeze considering the friendship between the two artists. “Mozzy, that’s the homie!” Kalan tells REVOLT. He also spoke on the mission behind his movement. “The FrFr movement is just about linking up with real people and noticing the difference between them and fakes.”
Kalan has yet another stellar reason to celebrate, as he and his label First Class Entertainment have just recently signed a partnership with Roc Nation. Under the deal, Kalan will released his aforementioned debut album TwoFr 2, which is a sequel to the 2018 mixtape TwoFr, which featured such tracks as “Fine Ass” and “Naked.” Kalan recently hit No. 10 on Billboard’s Top L.A. Emerging R&B/Hip-Hop L.A. Artists 2021 chart. Last year, YG hopped on a remix of his track “Right Wit It.”
