After taking some time to mourn the loss of her partner Nipsey Hussle, Lauren London is back to acting. The actress is slated to hit the big screen alongside Michael B. Jordan in an Amazon Prime movie that will premiere on April 30.
On Wednesday (March 3), the trailer for Without Remorse — the film based on Tom Clancy’s novel of the same name — dropped, giving fans a sneak peak of what’s to come. The plot centers around Jordan’s character Navy SEAL John Kelly, who uncovers a potential war between U.S. and Russia as he seeks revenge against Russian soldiers who killed his family, including his pregnant wife, who is played by London.
The L.A. star’s appearance in the trailer was met with an abundance of social media reactions, some which slammed those who recently pushed the false narrative that London was pregnant. “Y’all really started that damn pregnant rumor about Lauren London just to find out she was wearing a fake baby bump for a movie role, y’all feel dumb yet?” one user wrote. Another said, “Lmao y’all was talking so much shit about Lauren London being pregnant a month ago when it was just her IN A MOVIE pregnant.”
Others simply expressed their excitement to see the actress return to her passion. One tweet read, “Lauren London is back on our screens y’all .. this makes me so happy.”
“I’m happy to see her in a film with a big movie star,” added a fan of London. “I’m happy to see Lauren London healing and continuing her passion for acting.”
Though fans are elated to know London is featured in the upcoming film, this isn’t the first time she’s graced our screens since Nipsey’s 2019 passing. The star played the role of Tammy in the 2020 film Always and Forever, which was directed by Chris Stokes. She was also featured in a Puma campaign that honored the Victory Lap star.
