Nick Cannon’s nationally syndicated daytime talk show is back on months after it was postponed due to criticism he received for making anti-Semitic comments during his “Cannon’s Class” podcast.

According to multiple reports, Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury is set to launch the show this fall. “It’s been a longtime dream of mine to host my own daytime talk show and that I’m able to do this in New York City. Bringing daytime television back to the place that has fostered generations of talent, is very special to me,” the “Wild ‘N Out” host said in a statement.

“With this show, we’ll be uniting all aspects of entertainment in a unique way in the very place where a lot of what we know today as our culture started,” the statement continues. “I couldn’t ask for better partners than Debmar-Mercury and Fox and thank them for supporting me in this endeavor.”

Back in July, Cannon was dropped by ViacomCBS after being accused of making anti-Semitic remarks. “Our melanin is so powerful and it connects us in a way that the reason why [white people] fear us is because of the lack that they have of it,” he said during his podcast. “When you have a person that has the lack of pigment, the lack of melanin, they know that they will be annihilated. So therefore, however they got the power, they have the lack of compassion — melanin comes with compassion, melanin comes with soul.”

He continued, “It’s never hate speech, you can’t be anti-Semitic when we are the Semitic people. When we are the same people who they want to be. That’s our birthright. We are the true Hebrews.”

Following the backlash, Cannon issued an apology to the Jewish community and even took a break from his Power 106 radio show to “establish an action plan towards real, impactful change and advocacy aimed at bringing people together.”

“I continue to express my gratitude to the Rabbis, community leaders and institutions who have reached out to me to help enlighten me,” he said. “Their input and friendship will help me as I further commit myself to more profound learning and towards strengthening the bond between the Black and Jewish cultures every day going forward.”
