Tameka Harris’ Tiny Wonderland event has been known to assist Atlanta residents during the holiday season, so she had no plans to ease up, especially after such a chaotic year.
On Sunday (Dec. 20), the Xscape star threw her fifth annual charity event inside the entertainment venue Revel and tapped her youngest daughter, Heiress, to host and help her spread joy to more than 24 families in need.
Those in attendance were entertained with a lineup of performances, including one from Heiress who channeled her parents’ knack for captivating an audience, and wowed the crowd with her rendition of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”
There were dance and rap contests and an opportunity for a member of the audience to grace the stage and show off their vocal ability. Families were presented with bikes, televisions and toys among other items. They were also entered into raffle contests, giving them a chance to win additional prizes.
When Tiny announced the return of her annual event on social media, she noted her intentions to “make sure the little ones in the A have a great Christmas.” In an interview with Rolling Out, the reality star added, “It’s important to me to do things for others especially around Christmas time. Kids want to wake up happy, and I want to make sure I can bless as many kids as I can.”
Over the years, the Harris’ love for the Christmas holiday has been well documented via media publications and their various reality television shows. The blended family previously got into the holiday spirit with an animated Christmas special, but amid their yearly lavish celebrations, Tiny and her husband, T.I., have always made it a point to give back to those less fortunate and ensure that same mentality is in instilled in all of their children.
