Dvsn recently kicked off “5 Days of Blessings,” an online event in which the duo has gifted fans with various tokens of appreciation. The most recent gift was a brand new single “Blessings,” which was paired with the confirmation of a forthcoming deluxe version of A Muse In Her Feelings. On the track, Daniel Daley sings the soulful, gospel-influenced lyrics:
Hands up, hell-bent love, I prayed that all the love at last. I finally found the right words. You lifted up my burden with that ass. No weapon formed against our love can win. Again, babe, we’re sinnin’, babe. Again and again. When we get married, you won’t have to feel no shame. I wouldn’t be trippin’ but we callin’ His name. And she’ll keep sayin’, “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.” Then I be sayin, “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus” neighbors hear you screamin’, screamin’, screamin’. They gon’ be believers, ‘lievers, ‘lievers.
The title of the deluxe album is a play on the original project title, but this is no new realization for loyal listeners of the album. Earlier this year, Dvsn revealed in a tweet the various meanings the title could be interpreted. “A Muse In Her Feelings,” was the first title used, and now as the deluxe arrives claiming the “Amusing Her Feelings” title, perhaps this signals a third variation using “I’m Using Her Feelings” may see the light of day in the future.
Prior to “Blessings” Dvsn shared visuals for their fan-favorite cuts like “A Muse” and the Snoh Aalegra-assisted “Between US.” They released A Muse In Her Feelings back in April, which included 16 new tracks and additional features from Summer Walker, Popcaan, Ty Dolla $ign, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Future, Jessie Reyez, and Shantel May. It follows their 2016 debut Sept. 5th and 2017’s Morning After, a well-received project that earned the duo a deserver top 40 spot on the Billboard 200. Sept. 5th included their classic hits like “With Me,” “Too Deep,” and “The Line.”
