Back in May, Chris Brown and Young Thug liberated their joint project Slime & B, which saw 13 tracks and additional appearances from Future, HoodyBaby, E-40, Too $hort, Gunna, Lil Duke, and more. Following videos for “So Crazy” and “Say You Love Me,” the dynamic duo return with a fresh clip for “City Girls,” a quasi-ode to the Miami duo of the same name that sees Brown and Thugger harmonizing about a certain type of woman that has their attention:
“Finally got a reason I can stay home, pretty little thing for me to wait on, fuckin’ you all day until the day gone, California King that we can play on/
Girl, you know I like it when you naked and you shake it, in my face and I can’t take it, FaceTime makes me anxious, and she looks so good, I can taste it…/”
The video for the Audibles-produced track comes courtesy of Jake Miosge and seems to take place during the roaring 20’s era, complete with the old school whips and attire. Chris Brown enters a restaurant and befriends a beautiful co-star, who takes to the stage and dances seductively to the music. Playing as a mafia boss is Young Thug, who makes his entrance into the establishment — with fellow Atlanta star Lil Keed — to the chagrin of the staff and fellow patrons. Before long, some other gangsters arrive, and what started off as a love story turns into an action flick very quickly.
In addition to his own music, Chris Brown has also provided assists on other dope cuts this year, including H.E.R.’s “Slide (Remix),” T-Pain’s “Wake Up Dead,” Jaquees’ “Put In Work,” and O.T. Genasis’ “Back To You,” among others. Likewise, Young Thug has maintained a massive presence in 2020, thanks to collaborations alongside the likes of Casanova, Trippie Redd, Machine Gun Kelly, Travis Scott, Gunna, Chance The Rapper, and countless others.
