This year, Key Glock has already blessed his fans with two well-received projects titled Yellow Tape and Son of a Gun, released in January and May, respectively. Late last month, the Memphis star returned with a new single titled “Never Change,” which is produced by BandPlay and sees him remaining authentic in spite of his wealth and fame:

“Ay, I’m a million dollar n***a, bitch but ain’t shit change, yuh, ain’t shit change but these goddamn chains, I be ballin’ hard I do this for me and the gang, goin’ out like I came, uh, and it’s with a bang, yuh/

Yellow bitch, yellow whip, yellow everything, lemon squeeze, trigger n***a, I make lemonade, my gang don’t hesitate, pull in, eliminate/”

The visual shows Key Glock on the block with his crew, surrounded by plenty of money, lean, guns, and more. No matter of rich and famous he gets, the Paper Route Empire artist can still be found at his old stomping grounds.

Last year, Key Glock connected with his boss/labelmate Young Dolph for the joint album Dum and Dummer, which saw 22 tracks from the Memphis duo. The project landed the rappers in the top ten of Billboard’s album chart thanks to 45,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release.

In a recent interview with REVOLT (via Ivy Rivera and Lowkey’s “Round Up” series), Key Glock spoke on how he and his city have been faring during the quarantine:

“I’m doing what I was going before [Coronavirus] even came. I’m minding my business and staying to myself … Memphis, they wild. They do what they wanna do. Like curfew and all that … I just went to Atlanta, I ain’t go out, I ain’t do none of that, it was loaded out there fasho.”
