Rising Houston rapper Yung Pooda has enlisted Dreamdoll for his latest cut “Chicken n Grits,” which features the two rappers over production from the Grammy award-winning duo Cool & Dre. The cover art reads “Home of the Big Booty Chick,” and for his verse, Yung Pooda makes sure to rap about exactly that:
I need a big booty bitch, hit after hit after hit. I’m in this hoe getting rich. I’m from the dirty, I’m from the south./ Baby drop it low for me one time. I’m looking for a bitch named sunshine. I’ma eat it up like one time, and I’ma do that more than one time, but I ain’t ‘bout to stand in the lunch line. In the trap gas more than one kind. Party pack got em lit, it’s a fun time. But for me I’m at work, it’s crunch time. My lil bitch so thick, then she get me lit, do that on my dick.
In 2020, Yung Pooda dropped off his two singles “Lies Told” and “Repeat Dat.” In Dreamdoll-related news, the Bronx artist recently connected with Aaria for the “Thug Love (Remix).” Her last full length project was 2019’s Life In Plastic 2, which included features from Lil Kim, David Lee, cupcaKe, and LouGotCash.
In an interview with REVOLT from earlier this year, Dreamdoll shared some insight about how she gets over writer’s block as an artist:
When I’m writing my hooks, I can’t write them down. I can only go off the top of my head. When it comes to my verses, I have to tune out and turn my phone off. I let the beat play and whatever I’m going through at that moment, I let it out. I don’t overthink. I don’t have a notebook filled with songs. I go into my notes [application] and I work off the top of my head. As an artist, I will say I worked on learning how to create metaphors, learning how to switch up my flow and work on my tone. I feel like practicing, trying and consistently recording will allow someone to get better at their craft.
