YG was one of the many recording artists who performed tonight (Nov. 28) at the Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. fight at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Others who joined in the festivities were stars such as Wiz Khalifa and French Montana. Needless to say, people on social media had thoughts about YG’s performance and weren’t shy to share them.
As we already know, Tyson and Jones. Jr’s showdown kicked off at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT and fans all over the world have tuned in to watch the two heavyweights duke to out for the W and the bragging rights. So, fans were all focused in for the major event.
“My return to the ring after a 15-year hiatus will be electrifying,” Tyson said in a recent interview just last week. “I am looking forward to entering the ring in a spectacular fashion next Saturday. It’s going to be a historic and legendary moment and I’m ready to entertain the world.”
And let’s not forget about the boxers’ payday. According to Yahoo Sports’ Kevin Iole, Tyson could make as much as $10 million at the end of the showdown. On top of that, the California State Athletic Commission told ESPN that both Tyson and Jones Jr. have $1 million guaranteed for their bout no matter the outcome.
When it came to YG’s performance, people on Twitter admitted that although some didn’t enjoy it too much, many others loved watching the rapper do his dance. “I’m fuckin with these YG songs,” someone with the username @StaceyThaGreat said. Peep that below.
