Mike Tyson is back in the ring tonight (Nov. 28) after almost two decades to duke it out against Roy Jones Jr. at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The showdown kicked off at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT and fans all over the world have tuned in to watch the two heavyweights in all of their boxing glory.
At this stage in their lives, Tyson is 54 years old and Jones Jr. is 51 years old. Many people are wondering how both seasoned boxers will do in their sparring, so the event is definitely worth the watch for many reasons, which of course also includes seeing who’ll take home the win.
Major recording artists have performed before the big showdown, as well, such as French Montana and Wiz Khalifa, the latter happily smoking a blunt while onstage, which fans on social media caught wind — get it? — off.
“My return to the ring after a 15-year hiatus will be electrifying,” Tyson said in a recent interview just last week. “I am looking forward to entering the ring in a spectacular fashion next Saturday. It’s going to be a historic and legendary moment and I’m ready to entertain the world.”
For those who want to witness history and watch the fight, it’s live-steaming on FITE.com for a charge of $49.99, so you can go there. It is also available on Pay Per View on cable, telco and satellite providers such as Verizon Fios, Comcast Xfinity and DIRECTV for all customers in the United States and Canada.
Other fights in the ring tonight include Jake Paul vs. former NBA athlete Nate Robinson, Badou Jack vs. Blake McKernan and Viddal Riley vs. Rashad Coulter.
