It’s been a minute since we’ve heard some new music from Meek Mill — 5 months to be exact. His last effort was a single that he released back in June titled “Otherwise Of America” where he addressed the police brutality and race issues in our country. The Philly rapper has certainly been in the studio working on new music for the past few months but has not released much info to the public. Last month, he assured fans that he is surely putting out a new album before the year is over in response to a tweet inquiring on a new album. Before then, we’re gifted with a new 4 pack from the Maybach Music rapper.

Meek Mill isn’t just one of the biggest artists in the game, he’s also a major figure to come out of Philadelphia in decades. Recently, he tried to use his power and industry influence to persuade artists in his city to stop the violence. Yet, his good intentions didn’t go over well with the city’s residents, leading him to trend all over social media. In the tweets that started the entire fiasco, Meek stated he’d get the artists deals if they ceased the beef:
“I’ll get all the main big artist in philly a deal if they put them bodies behind them and squash them beefs …I hear about ….got some hot young bulls from my city but they all beefing! — And that’s just a idea but I’ll push thru with my city if y’all make it thing! It’s like 5 clicks that’s talented but they deep in! And get they most attention when they beefing!”
This didn’t rub Philly natives well as well known Philly artist Poundside Pop called him out, all of which lead to the Maybach Music Group artist to say his piece and the EP’s announcement before he deactivated all of his social media accounts until he dropped today.
