Wheezy has been busy riding the waves made from his Emergency Tsunami project, his collaborative effort with NAV, but he’s just added another reason to be in headlines as he drops off his another single. “Guillotine” is the latest single from the True to the Game 2 soundtrack, and Wheezy tapped Future and Yo Gotti for the assists. On the song, Future kicks off his verse with a reference to the title:
Purchase ammo for my guillotine. Do what I did and I got me some things I ain’t never seen. Pourin’ it up like it’s caffeine. Came out the gutter, word up to my mother. I came out the gutter to a magazine. Scraped in the field ‘fore they catchin’ these stains. In the field and you know I’m not an athlete. Benjamin Franklins done got in my pockets, done got in my veins, they done got in my pores. Surf in Australia, surf in America.
Another cut fans have been able to already enjoy from the soundtrack was “Star” by Dej Loaf featuring Dave East and Nicole Bus. Prior to “Star,” the first single from the soundtrack was Tamar Braxton’s “Crazy Kind Of Love.” The compilation features other stars like Burna Boy, Jeremiah, OT Genasis, Derez De’Shon, Freeway, and London on Da Track. The first soundtrack boasted appearances from 21 Savage, Young Scooter, Keyshia Cole, and many more.
So far from Wheezy’s Emergency Tsunami mixtape, fans have been able to enjoy visuals for the songs “Don’t Need Friends” and “Friends & Family.” Before the recent collab project, Wheezy has been busy making name for himself as a respected producer, consistently been the mastermind behind the boards for some of the hottest songs in recent years such as “Yes Indeed” with Lil Baby and Drake, “Going Bad” with Meek Mill and Drake, and “Bad Bad Bad” with Young Thug and Lil Baby.
