Over recent times, Toronto artist Nav has been moving at his own pace and capitalizing every single time. Since his introduction to the industry back in 2016 with his debut mixtape The Introduction, Nav has elevated with each release as he continues to solidify himself as one of the most creative acts in the industry. Any time you hear “Wheezy outta here!” as a tag on record, you know it’s going to be nothing less than flame emojis. Connecting with artists like Future, Young Thug, Gunna, Travis Scott and more over the years, Wheezy has paved his own lane as a future GOAT producer for sure. Today, the two link up to deliver the powerful force of the sea through their joint mixtape Emergency Tsunami.
It’s clear that Nav has been quite productive during the COVID-19 pandemic. Having a pair of back-to-back projects reach No. 1 last year (Bad Habits and Brown Boy), the prominent rapper/singer/songwriter/producer has no plans of slowing down any time soon. Emergency Tsunami serves as the Canadian star’s third official release of 2020 and what other way to end the year with a bang alongside Wheezy?
The two joined forces on Nav’s latest album Good Intentions on the record “Turks” that featured Gunna and Travis Scott. The single definitely helped propel the XO star to new heights and we’re here for it.
Over the 12-track effort, Nav and Wheezy connected with five of their rapper comrades to add more sauce to stir the pot — Young Thug, Gunna, Lil Keed, Lil Baby, and Sah Babii. If that isn’t enough to excite you, it has been revealed that the legendary Mike Dean mastered the entire project (audiophiles will be more than thrilled to have this information).
As Nav ends 2020 on a great note, keep in mind that the young star is nowhere near stopping so we hope to get more vibes from Nav in 2021. Tap into Emergency Tsunami below!
