Junglepussy has released her newest project, the anticipated JP4. The latest project is a follow-up to the 28-year-old artist’s JP3 album, which debuted in 2018. Gangsta Boo and Ian Isiah make appearances on this new LP, and the Brooklyn rapper’s previously released tracks “Arugula” and “Main Attraction” gave fans a taste before the official full release. On the latter track, she gets into her bag over a Shy Beats and Roc N Mayne-co-produced beat:
“It must’ve hurt when I rubbed your f**kin’ face down in the dirt. Know it might look new to you but I did it first. Pussy berserk, I made him pay for all my merch. Put ‘em in a hearse, I want somebody who don’t like nobody. Not a social butterfly, I want somebody who don’t like to party. They just wanna get in my thighs, I want somebody who quiet. I’m on a brand new diet. I hear these niggas be talkin’ that talk.”
Junglepussy first dropped her first project Satisfaction Guaranteed in 2014, before delivering her debut studio album Pregnant With Success the following year. She’s also flexed her multi-talented personality on the sketch comedy series “Random Acts of Flyness” and the film Support the Girls, the latter seeing her co-starring alongside Regina Hall.
In a previous interview, JP shares some advice her mom gave her while speaking about “industry politics” that has carried her through:
“She was like, ‘just let all of that go Shayna. You’re there because you’re supposed to be there and that’s all you need to focus on, being you and doing what you came there to do.’ She’s worked in corporate America all her life so this stuff, it’s kind of the same vein. You just have to overlook a lot of stuff, it doesn’t mean that you stand down or don’t speak your mind. But you don’t let stuff like that bother you because your body feels it.”
