Still presumably celebrating his recent induction into XXL’s latest Freshman class, Jack Harlow is back with a dope new cut titled “Tyler Herro,” named after the Miami Heat star and former Kentucky Wildcat. Produced by Neenyo, Jahaan Sweet, Scott Storch, and Boi-1da, the Louisville emcee continues his penchant for witty raps about his increasingly popular status in hip hop:
“The ones that hate me the most look just like me, you tell me what that means, make a slick comment and see what that brings, I seen it go down, we can reenact things, extreme like BMXing, these boys p***y and they PMSing/
People in the city see the movement occurring, and say, “My God, I wanna be in that scene,” damn right, you wanna be in this scene, she at the video tryna be in this scene, used to fantasize ‘bout bein’ this seen…/”
The track sees an accompanying visual that starts with a kid — presumably a future emcee in the making — running from a school bus being driven by the currently in high demand social media comedian Druski. Harlow can then be seeing being the star that he is, complete with heavy security and stylists circling around him. In addition to the heavy New Balance promo, Tyler Herro also makes a much needed cameo appearance with the rapper on a basketball court.
“Tyler Herro” follows Harlow’s August drop “Automatic,” which acted as his contribution to the Madden ‘21 soundtrack, as well as the socially charged “Only Way Freestyle” and Scooby Doo-themed “Yikes.” He also dropped his most successful project to date, Sweet Action, which boasts the viral single “WHAT’S POPPIN” — a track that eventually spawned a star-studded remix with Lil Wayne, DaBaby, and a now-embattled Tory Lanez.
