With her upcoming project Drunken Wordz Sober Thoughtz on the horizon, Sevyn Streeter keeps applying pressure with her new video “Kissez.” The new upcoming Drunken Wordz Sober Thoughtz album will feature the previously released cuts “HMU” and “Whatchusay,” and follows her debut album Girl Disrupted from 2017.
With assistance from Nigeria’s very own Davido, Seyvn delivers a stunning new visual which shows everything glistening in gold. On the BONGO ByTheWay-produced track, she sings about keeping the spark alive:
“Don’t know where to start. When I was fightin’ now you light my spark. Them hoes they touch you but you have my heart. We barely trust but it felt so right, I throw it back at you and grip you tight. I was the only one that knew what you like.”
While most people may know her for her vocals, Sevyn Streeter has been busy blessing fellow artists with her sharp pen these last few years as well. In addition to making her mark as a solo artist, she is also a GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter, having written six songs from Chris Brown’s GRAMMY winning album Fame as well as two songs from Alicia Keys’ GRAMMY winning album Girl on Fire. Her songwriting credits boast plenty of well-loved hits, including Chris Brown’s “Fine China,” Tamar Braxton’s “All The Way Home,” Alicia Keys’ “New Day,” and Ariana Grande’s chart-topping hit, “The Way.”
Davido has delivered plenty of assists in 2020, including visuals for “D&G” with Summer Walker, “Intro,” and “Fem.” He’s also contributed to songs like Khalid and Disclosure’s “Know Your Worth (Remix),” Snakehips and Jess Glynne’s “Lie For You,” “Betty Butter” with Mayorkun, and “Abracadabra” with BOJ and Mr Eazi. Most recently, he hopped on Preme and Popcaan’s newest single titled “Comfortable.”
