DaBaby recently tapped into his popstar side and joined forces with Dua Lipa for their latest collaboration, the remix for her single “Levitating.” The song originally appeared on Dua Lipa’s March project release Future Nostalgia. For his verse, the North Carolina emcee makes sure his flow matches the groovy bounce of the song:

“Mighta threw me off, but can’t nobody stop the movement. Left foot, right foot, levitatin’. Pop stars, Dua Lipa with DaBaby. I had to lace my shoes for all the blessings I was chasin’. If I ever slip, I’ll fall into a better situation. So catch up, go put some cheese on it. Get out and get your bread up. They always leave when you fall, but you run together.”

Earlier this year, DaBaby revealed his third studio LP BLAME IT ON BABY, which included 13 new tracks from the North Carolina star and collaborations alongside Quavo, Future, Roddy Ricch, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Megan Thee Stallion, and more.

Prior to BLAME IT ON BABY, DaBaby dropped both KIRK and also his breakthrough project Baby On Baby both in 2019. In May, he and Roddy Ricch celebrated as their single “Rockstar” became certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

In a recent interview, DaBaby dives into how he enjoys experimenting musically and doesn’t feel boxed in, despite breaking through with the sound his “Suge” record is known for:

Trying new things musically is always a goal of mine. I always do that. I was trying new things on Kirk that I didn’t do on the Baby on Baby album. I just popped with a song called “Suge.” That’s the song I popped with, but I was never in a box with the type of music that I can make. I’ve got songs I made five years ago that are similar to “Rockstar,” which can be considered a pop record. I just go with my mood, really. I don’t overthink it.
