It’s only been some months since Stalley released his latest project Pariah, which boasted nine dope cuts from the Ohio emcee. Now, he announces that he’s following that project up with the 8-track EP Fear No Blue, which will see landfall September 25. Today, he gives his fans a taste of that with “Dinosaur,” which is produced by Black Diamond and sees Stalley rapping about his relationship with hip hop:
“I tried so hard for so long to proceed and prolong, all positive thoughts, and navigate through the signs in my way, but man I feel like I’m lost, was married to the music now I feel like divorce/
We don’t see eye to eye no more, used to run the streets, we can’t find our stride no more, we used to do it so big, I’m talking dinosaur…/”
Stalley’s latest official LP, Reflection Of Self: The Head Trip, was released last November via Nature Sounds. Prior to that, his albums Ohio, New Wave, and Another Level were released in 2014 and 2017, respectively.
It’s been three years since Stalley parted ways with the Rick Ross-helmed Maybach Music Group, and it seems that his musical output has only increased tenfold as a result. Speaking to REVOLT, he spoke on wanting to bring his fans closer to his journey moving forward:
“I hope my fans get closer to me. I hope they sit with the album and pay attention to what I’m saying. … It’s really taking you on a trip through my head from start to finish. It’s very present of Stalley right now and everything that I’m feeling. I’m hoping that I’m able to inspire them. I want them to strive to be better people because ultimately that’s what I’m reaching towards.”
