It’s more than safe to say that Wiz Khalifa has remained busy this year in spite of the Coronavirus pandemic. He’s already given 2020 the projects It’s Only Weed Bro, The Saga Of Wiz Khalifa, and 3 Doobies, along with dope singles like “Drums Drums Drums,” “Smoke Screen,” and “Top Down.” Now, he’s back with a new mixtape titled Big Pimpin’, which was released in celebration of his birthday. The project sees 17 tracks from the Pittsburgh star, including the Statik Selektah-produced standout “Slim Peter,” which — to no ones surprise — celebrates living the stoner life:
“Leave it to me, if you want some bomb-ass weed, leave it to me, if you want a fire-ass verse, leave it to me, if you want a bad b***h taken, leave her with me, uh, freeze up the sleeve, you would think it’s Taco Tuesday, we get the cheese/
I ain’t too into her needs, but if she want it, I’ma get it for her, so much bottles, they askin’ what I spend it for, well, um, if you wanna have a good time, leave it to me…/”
Wiz Khalifa’s last studio album, Rolling Papers 2, was released back in 2018 and saw 25 cuts and features from Curren$y, Snoop Dogg, Gucci Mane, Swae Lee, Ty Dolla $ign, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and more. The album debuted at the number two spot on the Billboard 200 thanks to 80,000 album equivalent units sold.
In related news, Wiz Khalifa is also expanding his empire into the food industry. A couple of weeks ago, the Taylor Gang captain announced his new brand Hotbox By Wiz, a delivery-only restaurant chain that’s set to go live next month. It should be unsaid how much of a genius concept this is for all of us living through the current pandemic, whether you enjoy smoking Khalifa Kush or not.
