Back in May, R&B stars Ne-Yo and Jeremih joined forces on the groovy cut “U 2 Luv,” which sees production from Retro Future and samples Zapp & Roger’s ‘80s classic “Computer Love.” The groovy tune sees the two professing their love for their significant other:
“Give you all of my attention, mmm, it’s straight shots, no champagne sippin’ tonight, add Netflix to this massage, better yet turn that s*** off/
’Cause I love to hear you cussin’ at me, like, ‘ooh, s***, baby, too deep,’ you never felt this feeling when I touch you, I never loved nobody like I love you…/”
This week, fans get to check out a dope music visual for the cut, which is directed by Chad Tennies and Caleb Seals. The clip begins with Ne-Yo and leading lady in real life Crystal Smith buying out a day at the skating rink for themselves — which happens to be ran by comedian Jess Hilarious. Elsewhere, Jeremih can be seen in equal enjoyment with his significant other at his lavish residence. It’s definitely the perfect vibe for a summer cookout, whenever outside reopens back up.
Earlier this year, Ne-Yo delivered the singles “Over Again” featuring Charly Black and the O.T. Genasis-assisted “Pinky Ring,” all of which will presumably appear on Ne-Yo forthcoming follow-up to 2018’s Good Man. In the same year, Jeremih connects with Ty Dolla $ign for the well-received drop MihTy.
Speaking to Chicago radio host Kendra G, Ne-Yo spoke on how the Coronavirus pandemic gave him a new perspective on his marriage:
“I’ll say this. When you’re faced with a pandemic and you see people dying daily, a bunch of people dying all the time. It really puts things into perspective for you… Like, who’s there for you regardless of whatever. And I’m not talking love. Love is compartmentalized a lot of the times. I’m talking unconditional love.”
