DJ Khaled began the star-studded rollout for his 12th studio album Khaled Khaled with two Drake-assisted hits: “Popstar” and “Greece.” However, speaking with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe from a jet ski, the platinum-selling producer recently revealed he’s got another mega-collaboration on the way — with Megan Thee Stallion.

“I mean, fu*k it. This is the Zane Lowe show right… I’ll be honest with you… you know — me and Megan — we got one. Yeah, we cooked something up,” he told Lowe.

Khaled Khaled will follow-up the “Wild Thoughts” artist’s 2019 LP, Father Of Asahd. The album’s John Legend and Nipsey Hussle-featuring cut “Higher” won a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Performance last year.

“I’m going to break out Khaled Khaled more through the process, through the rollout. You know what I mean?” Khaled further explained to Lowe. The album’s name is also eponymous, as Khaled is the producer’s first and last name.

“My first and last name is the same. That’s true. Two keys there, too. I got two kids,” he added.

Although the album’s rollout has been delayed by COVID-19, Khaled shared that he’s ready to start dropping off some of the project’s “knockouts” — hence the new Drake collaborations.

“… When I was talking to Drake, you know what I mean? I was like, ‘I want to hit him with a knockout,’” Khaled said. “That’s what I asked him. I said, ‘I want to hit him with a knockout.’”

Khaled and Drizzy have teamed up on several hits over the years, including 2011’s “I’m On One,” “No New Friends” and “For Free.” Although Khaled said he can always expect Drake to “go big” on their mashups, “Popstar” was a special track for the DJ because it closely followed the birth of his second son, Alealam, earlier this year.

“When ‘Popstar’ was created, I went to Toronto and my son was born,” Khaled recalled. “My son was born and I flew straight in Toronto right after my son was born in the same date. You know what I mean? It was something special to me, you know what I mean? To be the pop star. We been the pop stars. I mean, we pack all the arenas, pack all the stadiums and the people. We represent the culture to the highest level.”
