Mere weeks ago saw the deluxe release of A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s latest album Artist 2.0, and his Highbridge label is already gearing up for another release. Currently, the New York outlet is putting the finishing touches on the second installment of their HighBridge The Label series, and have decided to give the fans a taste in the form of new music. The single, titled “Flood My Wrist,” sees A Boogie and labelmate Don Q teaming up with Philly star Lil Uzi Vert. The Nick Mira-produced effort gives the trio room to show off their vast wealth with ease:
“Big ol’ drip, make a b***h like my pic’, oh, yeah, she’s so thick, hit the b***h once, don’t miss, oh, yeah/
I’m so rich, yeah, I could bust down a whole ‘nother wrist, I drive my double R on with the stick/
Yeah, when I go to the club, make it rain, yeah, when you go to the club, make it miss, okay, my section lit, yo’ s*** dry as a b***h/
When I smoke gas, I be high as a b***h, yes, I’m so high I say, “Hi” to a blimp, and then when I get dressed, I be fly as a pimp/”
The Picture Perfect-directed video shows the collaborators living the rockstar life, whether it be on the tour bus, in the studio, in the strip club, or at their lavish residence. Money, women and shiny things are abound throughout the clip.
Highbridge aren’t the only team who’s been busy either — this past March saw two Lil Uzi Vert releases, the long-awaited Eternal Atake and its deluxe upgrade Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World 2. Uzi has been heavy on his feature game as of late, having appeared on tracks alongside Lil Baby, Future, Lil Keed, Young Nudy, and more. He was also on the aforementioned Artist 2.0 (Deluxe), providing some bars on the melodic cut “Reply.”
Press play on “Flood My Wrist” and, for those that missed it, the aforementioned “Reply” and the Young Thug-assisted “Might Not Give Up.”
