Offset is exercising his right to vote in America. The Migos rapper revealed to his fans on Instagram that he just hit the polls for Georgia’s primary election to vote for the first time ever.

“I feel good. I feel proud,” he said. “I’m tryna make a difference so, I came out in my state, Georgia. Atlanta come vote. Come hit these polls up. Everybody been going through the same thing and we can fix it and make a change by voting.”

“I just voted my first time, 28 years old,” he continued. “I got past my record and my past history and I’m able to vote so, I’m out here voting. Everybody hit them polls in Atlanta man right now. Let’s get it.”

Last month, Offset’s wife Cardi B encouraged everyone to vote in their local elections following the death of George Floyd. “I also wanna say this, another way for the people to take power — I don’t wanna make everything political, but it is what it is — it’s by voting,” she said. “And when I say voting, I’m not only talking about the president. We can vote for mayors, we can vote for judges and we can vote for district attorneys.”

“The people who are voting for these people are most likely cops. Most likely rednecks. That’s why every single time that some fuck shit like this happen, it goes to their favor,” the “Bodak Yellow” rapper continued. “These people have the power, these judges, these DAs, these attorneys, they have the power to prosecute these cops when they do fuck shit like this. That’s why we have to vote. We have to be aware when these elections are going on. We have to be aware and inform ourselves of these people that are in power… [and] have power where you live at.”

Last week, Snoop Dogg made a virtual appearance on “Big Boy’s Neighborhood” and spoke about how he was “brainwashed” into thinking that he couldn’t vote because of his criminal record, which has been expunged.

“I ain’t never voted a day in my life, but this year I think I’ma get out and vote cause I can’t stand to see this punk in office one more year,” the “Gin And Juice” MC said, referring to President Trump. “For many years, they had me brainwashed thinking that you couldn’t vote cause you had a criminal record. I didn’t know that. My record’s been expunged, so now I can vote.”
