Earlier this year, Russ delivered his third major studio album Shake The Snow Globe, which saw 14 tracks and appearances from Rick Ross, Kiana Ledé, Benny The Butcher, Devin The Dude, Bia, and more. Today, he upgrades the project with a Deluxe edition that comes with two previously released loose cuts — “Summer At 7” and “Paranoid” — and five new tracks for fans to enjoy. In addition, the Deluxe offering also sees added features from Ty Dolla $ign and Boogie, the latter of whom delivers one of his best verses to date:
“Hope you get your credit for your next scene, hope regret ain’t fillin’ up your body when you breath leave/
Hate that you ain’t out here fetchin’ dreams, s*** a pet peeve, open road you set free, you can catch speed/
Just so you can make it to the finish line, you done hit your final lap in the nick of time, pickin’ through the good and bad, this s*** so intertwined/
They got us forced to find ourselves, we gotta sit inside, and lately s*** been dry and I just wanna feel alive…/”
Shake The Snow Globe was released back in January and earned Russ a top five spot on the Billboard 200 with 63,000 album equivalent units sold. Prior to that, he dropped Zoo, which was led by the well-received singles “The Flute Song” and “Missin You Crazy.” Zoo was also used as a way to express his feelings about his detractors, which he explained during a past interview on “The Breakfast Club”:
“It started because I was always big-upping myself, super confident. When I was coming up, I mixed, mastered, produced everything, and I would say that all the time, because number one, self-sufficiency is a message that should be put out there. Number two, I’m proud of it.”
