Following the success of last month’s “Disney Family Singalong,” ABC has announced the star-studded lineup for the show’s return.
The special will air on Mother’s Day and will feature performances from Miguel, Chloe x Halle, Donald Glover, Keke Palmer, Anika Noni Rose and more. It will also include “inventive at-home choreography,” according to ABC. The animated Mickey will guide families through the on-screen lyrics. The singalong will also raise awareness about Feeding America’s extensive network and resources for people in the country who are facing hunger due to the pandemic.
Disney’s first singalong show included a surprise performance by Beyoncé. The Lemonade singer performed a soulful rendition of “When You Wish Upon a Star” from the 1940 animated classic, Pinocchio. Before she sang, she took time out to dedicate her performance to the healthcare workers on the frontlines during COVID-19.
“To all the families across the world, I’m very proud and honored to be a part of the Disney family and to help present the Disney Songbook Singalong in partnership with Feeding America,” she said.
“I’d like to dedicate this song to all of the healthcare workers who’ve been working tirelessly to keep us healthy and safe,” she continued. “We greatly appreciate you.”
