Post Malone is keeping his fans in the loop regarding his upcoming quarantine album.
On Friday (April 24), Malone took part in a virtual live-streamed performance that helped raise funds for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. At one point during his performance, the “Rockstar” musician explained that he is excited about the new content that he’s been working on. “Working on this new album I got coming for y’all. I’m really f—king excited for it,” he said. “Trying to put it out as soon as I f—king can. I’m really proud of the music that we’re making. I’m having a lot of f—king fun and I’m really f—king excited to put something new out for y’all.”
Back in March, Malone’s manager, Dre London, revealed that the musician was working on a quarantine album. “I’m sorry I can’t stay away from my brother Posty!” he wrote alongside a photo of the both of them. “I’ll take the chance! Tonight we made a smash on FaceTime now we gonna just go into Quarantine Album mode! If we don’t connect energy how the gonna enjoy this summer? ♂️ Let’s Get It!! See You Soon bruv! #2020 #DreVision.”
That same month, Malone announced his virtual beer pong tournament aimed at raising money for Coronavirus relief. The virtual event, which began on April 5, included 16 teams. The winner of the tournament walked away with a trophy, wrestling belt and chains.
Over the last few months, Malone has been in a great head space. Back in March 2020, he gave fans an update on his mental health after some accused him of being on drugs. “I feel the best I’ve ever f—king felt in my life,” he said. “And that’s why I can bust my a— for these shows and f—king fall on the floor and do all that fun sh-t. But for anyone that’s concerned here, I appreciate the love and the support, but I feel f—king fantastic and I’m not doing drugs.”
