Lil Xan was reportedly rushed to the hospital over the weekend after suffering a severe panic attack, which he tells TMZ was caused by his anxiety over the current pandemic. The 23-year-old rapper has been quarantined in Corona, CA at his mother’s house, who called an ambulance for Xan after he began experiencing intense hallucinations.

Xan told TMZ that he couldn’t remember much from the episode and that while’s been hospitalized for panic attacks in the past, this was by far the “worst one.” Furthermore, he believes the attack was brought on by his anxiety surrounding the current Coronavirus shelter-in-place order.

Like many artists, Xan’s workflow has been seriously impeded by COVID-19. According to TMZ, the “Betrayed” rapper has had to delay his next album since he hasn’t been able to go to the studio and record new music. Also, all of his future shows and his performance at a Canadian festival have been canceled due to the pandemic. As someone who provides for his family, Xan tells the outlet this has created more stress during this already uncertain time.

Last month, Live Nation suspended all of its tours indefinitely. Likewise, many major festivals — such as Coachella and Rolling Loud — have either been completely canceled or postponed.

“At this time, we collectively recommend large scale events through the end of March be postponed. We continue to support that small-scale events follow guidance set by their local government officials,” Live Nation announced in a statement at the time. “We feel fortunate to have the flexibility to reschedule concerts, festivals, and live events as needed, and look forward to connecting fans with all their favorite artists and live entertainment soon.”

Ticketmaster, which is owned by Live Nation, was recently caught in hot water when fans realized the company would not provide refunds for postponed concerts. After facing backlash for the reportedly new policy, Ticketmaster announced it would begin administering refunds for rescheduled shows on May 1.
