“Quarantine Radio” is back!
Tory Lanez announced that Instagram has officially lifted his ban on Instagram Live after he sent them a copy of his forthcoming album, The New Toronto 3.
In an Instagram video, Lanez excitedly talked about how Instagram reinstated his Live privileges. He captioned the post, “TURN NOTIFICATIONS ON !!! THIS IS HISTORY IN THE MAKING !!!! S/O ADAM AND FADIA @ Instagram !!!! ITS LIT !!!!!! WE BACKKKK BABYYYYYYYYYYY QUARANTINE RADIO IN 20 MINUTES 🔥🔥😈🔥😈🔥😈😈🔥👏🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑 DEAD ASS SENT THEM #TheNewToronto3 !!!!!!! AND IT WORKED.”
A few days ago, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri addressed Lanez’s alleged suspension and claimed the issue was over nude content, which is a clear violation of the company’s community guidelines.
“‘Quarantine Radio’ is great, so first, shoutout to Tory Lanez on that. ‘Quarantine Radio’ is not banned,” Mosseri clarified. “The Lives have been great, the Lives with the fans have been great. But you can’t have nudity. That’s part of our community guidelines, part of our community rules, and we can’t make exceptions.”
“On a couple of those Lives there was nudity, so we had to stop the Live. There’s a short period of time where you can’t go Live again, and we have to stick to the rules, otherwise why do we have them?” he continued.
“But, generally a big fan of Tory Lanez, big fan of ‘Quarantine Radio,’ and I hope it comes back soon, but just no nudity!” Mosseri concluded. Lanez denied having any nudity on his Instagram Live show.
“Quarantine Radio” has drawn appearances from Drake, Megan Thee Stallion, DMX, Wiz Khalifa, Chris Brown, Young Thug and more.
The reinstatement comes at a perfect time because Lanez is set to drop his album The New Toronto 3 at midnight. Check out Lanez’s post announcing the return of “Quarantine Radio” below.
