Detroit’s 42 Dugg has set a Friday (March 27) release date for his next project, Young And Turnt 2. Along with the announcement, the rap upstart also dropped off mixtape cut, “Hard Times.”
“First and foremost, I just wanna thank everybody you know this last week and a half been kinda crazy,” Dugg wrote on social media, via The Source. “But you feel me it [is] what it is. I’ll never let somebody or something steer me away from living my life, having fun and making music. Throughout this whole sh*t, I been contemplating like ‘Do I wanna act a mufu*king fool and drop Vol 2 but I just couldn’t get in the spirit in there.’ With DAT BEING SAID IM BACK, VOL2 dropping next Friday!!!!!!!!!”
The tape will reportedly feature appearances from Yo Gotti, Lil Baby and Babyface Ray, while beatmakers 808 Mafia South Side, Tre pounds, Helluva, Como Beats and more will offer production.
Young And Turnt 2 will mark the second release in Dugg’s Young And Turnt series, which he launched last year. The inaugural tape featured Babyface Ray, Yo Gotti, Tee Grizzley, Blac Youngsta, Lil Baby and Peewee Longway. The forthcoming sequel will be issued through a joint record label release, via Yo Gotti’s Collective Music Group and Lil Baby’s 4 Pockets Full label, which Dugg is signed to.
Dugg recently earned his first Billboard Hot 100 entry with his Lil Baby collaboration, “Grace.” The song, which recently gained a music video, landed on Baby’s My Turn sophomore album. The record debuted at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 last month.
