Rotimi is now the face of Sean John’s spring and summer tailored suit campaign.
“I’m excited to be a part of such a monumental and game-changing brand such as Sean John,” the “Love Riddim” singer said. “They have been a huge staple in the community and setting trends ever since I can remember, and to now join this family showcasing such polished pieces is an honor as well as something I look forward to sharing with the world.”
Aside from a music career on the rise, Rotimi recently showcased his acting skills as Andre on the hit STARZ show “Power.” He also has an upcoming role in the Coming 2 America sequel, which is expected to hit theaters December this year.
“We are excited to welcome Rotimi to the Sean John family,” President and CEO of Sean John Jeff Tweedy said. “He truly exemplifies style, influence and distinction. He’s an individual who lives out our ‘Dream Big’ message.”
Diddy founded Sean John in 1998 to bridge the gap between streetwear and menswear. The collection only had 11 pieces but a year later, the company made its debut at retail with a launch event in Bloomingdale’s in New York City.
In 2004, Diddy was named CFDA Menswear Designer of The Year. In 2007, Sean John received the Fiji Award for the Unforgivable fragrance. In 2009, Sean John won the award again for the I Am King scent.
In 2018, Sean John celebrated its 20th anniversary with a collaboration and pop up shop at Bloomingdale’s. Recent Sean John campaigns have featured Quincy Combs, John Wall, YFN Lucci, Jacquees, Blockboi JB and more.
The Sean John line currently includes tailored suits, outerwear, hats, watches, fragrance, loungewear and more. The tailored suit collection is currently available in Macy’s.
Congrats to Rotimi on becoming the face of Sean John’s tailored suits.
