Carl Crawford is finally breaking his silence about Megan Thee Stallion’s claims that he and his 1501 Certified Entertainment label are blocking her from releasing new music.

This past weekend, the “Hot Girl Summer” rapper went on Instagram Live to call out Crawford for not renegotiating her contract after lawyers from Roc Nation pointed out some of their concerns. Megan then filed a lawsuit against the label and was able to get a restraining order, which green lit her to drop music.

In a new interview with Billboard, Crawford is claiming that everything Megan is saying is inaccurate. “Nothing is true that she said,” he said. “Me being greedy and taking money from her, that’s crazy. I never tried to take nothing from her. The only thing we ever did was give, give, give.”

He adds that after Megan signed with Roc Nation, she went “radio silent” and chose not to pay him or 1501 the money she owed. He believes that the rapper purposefully tried to avoid paying him, so that he would renegotiate her contract.

“Let’s talk about your contract. It’s a great contract for a first-timer,” he continued. “What contract gives parts of their masters and 40% royalties and all that kind of stuff?”

The label owner then addressed whether or not his relationship with the “Cash Shit” rapper could be salvaged.

“I don’t know what can happen,” he said. “Right now, I’m just trying to make sure that fair is fair. I just want it to be fair. Nobody wanted to stop her music. I understand that, but she’s ignored me since August. I haven’t spoke to her since August, and this is what’s going on… She hasn’t made one payment since August. You do the math and see how many months that is and add it up.”
