Boosie has had quite the week on social media. The “Wipe Me Down” rapper is responding to the false reports circulating that he got into a violent fight with George Zimmerman.
In an Instagram post, Boosie says, “Hey, service announcement from Boosie. I never seen George [Zimmerman] in my life, but on TV. This is a lie. Leave me alone. I never seen George Zimmerman in my life. George don’t know me. Talking ‘bout I did something to him in Walmart. That is a lie.”
The false report from Huzlers claimed that “Boosie spotted Zimmerman and said ‘Hey, you that fat a*s n*gga who killed Trayvon right?’ Boosie violently approached Zimmerman. Zimmerman appeared to be reaching for his gun, according to witnesses. Although, Zimmerman is being hospitalized, Boosie suffered injuries as well, including a busted lip and nose.”
The false report also claimed that Boosie was currently in custody and set to appear before a judge for assault charges next week.
Zimmerman has been public enemy number one since he was found not guilty for the murder of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
Martin was walking home from a local convenience store in Sanford, Florida when he followed and approached by Zimmerman. Zimmerman believed that Martin was suspicious and called the cops to report the teen. Instead of waiting for the cops to come or minding his business altogether, Zimmerman approached Martin and the two got into a scuffle. The scuffle ended in Zimmerman shooting Martin, killing him.
Zimmerman was found not guilty of the murder after using Florida’s “stand your ground” law, claiming he acted in self defense. Since his acquittal, Zimmerman has been in a world of legal trouble and is currently suing the Martin family for $100 million alleging that the prosecution conspired during the trial to produce a false witness and evidence against him.
