Jacquees is coming for everyone’s music next year. The self-proclaimed “King of R&B” has vowed to remix everyone’s song in 2020. He tweeted, “2020 I’m back remixing everybody songs.”

Jacquees is definitely not a stranger to remixing other people’s songs. In 2013, he dropped Quemix. The 12-track mixtape featured his remixes of songs like “Girls Love Beyoncé” by Drake, “How Many Drinks” by Miguel, “Karate Chop” by Future and more. He then released Quemix 2 in 2015 and Quemix 3 in 2018.

Last year, the “You” rapper caused controversy when his remix of Ella Mai’s “Trip” began surpassing the original on streaming services. His version racked up nearly 2 million streams in 24 hours, but it appears the song actually wasn’t up for long on the services. Shortly after the release of the remix, Ella’s management, 10 Summers, sent cease-and-desist letters to Jacquees and had the song removed from every streaming platform, including Youtube.

On Friday (Nov. 8), Jacquees released his highly anticipated King of R&B album. The 18-track album sees added features from Quavo, Tory Lanez, T.I., Lil Keed and Lil Gotit, in addition to the anticipated assists from Young Thug, Gunna, Lil Baby, Summer Walker, Bluff City, FYB, TK Kravitz and Future.

Jacquees dubbed himself as the “King of R&B” last year. The comment was met with debate from R&B veterans Tyrese, Tank, Eric Bellinger and Usher, as well as a sparked beef with YK Osiris. “I even had to tell my girl, ‘I ain’t cocky. I’m just confident,’ Jacquees told Apple Music, as shown on the album’s Apple Music bio. “I just think I could be number one. I’m not trying to hate on nobody or knock nobody else. I’m just telling you what I think I can do… You can only be humble for so long.”
