The Game recently sat down with HipHopDX and discussed his former beef with 50 Cent. Although the two have squashed their beef and made amends, Game admits that he wanted the beef to end in death, like that of Biggie and 2Pac.
When asked why he thought he and 50 would die from their beef he replied, “I wanted it to end like that. ‘Cause when you’re young, you’re stupid as fuck, man. I just felt like in a weird way, this was hip hop. We were supposed to die in this shit. My mindset was like, ‘If I get killed out here in New York,’ cause I recorded the whole The Doctor’s Advocate in New York. I stayed in New York for 60 days and completed that album, which is why it had like Busta [Rhymes] and Nas, it was more East Coast but still had my West Coast style. I thought even if I get killed in the east, when 50 goes to the west like my homies my coast my fans are gonna kill him.”
Game admits that he didn’t care about anything at that time. He says he carried a gun on him at all times, which caused him to act “like a fucking idiot.” He recalls having 50 guns in his car at once.
“I bought them motherfuckers and I didn’t even take them nowhere,” he said. “I went to dinner with this bitch.” Later the guns were taken from his home.
Game also spoke to HipHopDX about a time that Michael Jackson called him to end his beef with 50 so that they all could collaborate together.
“That was weird as fuck,” he said as he spoke about remembering the call from Jackson. “I think that you and Fifty did great work,” Jackson told him. “It would be a travesty if the world never got to hear you guys again. Would you be open to having a conversation and squashing that beef and doing something for my album?”
The Game recently dropped his Born 2 Rap album, which he claims will be his last album. Check out his interview below.
