Juice WRLD’s girlfriend Ally Lotti took the stage at Rolling Loud Los Angeles to share a few touching words with the fans of the late rapper.
“Hello, I just wanted to come out here and let everyone know that Jarad loved every single person that he helped on this earth,” Lotti said Sunday. “He literally loved every single one of you guys. There’s not a time that he had showed me any different love that he felt for you. He wants everyone to know that you need to take any negative thing in your life—he would tell you every time he saw you—and change that to a positive situation. Change that to 999. You gotta keep that in your heart. Can everyone say 999?”
Other artists paid tribute to Juice at the festival. G Herbo, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Cole Bennett, YBN Cordae and more took the stage in remembrance of the “Lucid Dreams” rapper.
Nicki Minaj recently paid tribute to Juice during her Billboard Women in Music acceptance speech. She said, “I recently had the pleasure of working and touring with Juice WRLD. I had a great conversation with him one day and while we walked to the stage he held my hand and told me to stay calm and to pray… and in that moment with him, I actually did feel calm.” Minaj continued, “Looking back now, I wish I did something differently or said something to help. He was honest and pure about what he felt and that inspired me.”
Juice died after suffering from a seizure at Chicago’s Midway Airport. Authorities believe Juice swallowed a bunch of unknown pills to hide them away from authorities while they searched his luggage for drugs and guns. As they were going through his luggage, sources said the rapper began “convulsing (and) going into a seizure.” He was transported to a local hospital where he later passed away.
