Jesus is King has not yet arrived, but Kanye West continues to grace various cities with his Sunday Service.

According to TMZ, Kanye set up shop in Salt Lake City, UT this week. The rapper held his service there on Saturday (Oct. 5) and apparently, it also happened to be a big weekend for followers of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The outlet reports that the weekend served as one of two annual gatherings that Mormons put on called “general conferences.” Kanye held his Sunday Service across the street from one of the conferences at the Gateway center.

Some of those who attended the conference visited Ye’s service as well. Reports say that the service went “without a hitch.” And not only that, but Kanye also took some time to preach to the crowd. The Chicago rapper discussed God, social media, societal perceptions/control, and more.

He also went on a political rant where he addressed the backlash he received for supporting President Trump. In fact, Kanye reminded the crowd that a Republican president, Abraham Lincoln, was responsible for abolishing slavery in the United States. “They try to tell me because of my color who I’m supposed to pick as the president,” he said. “You’re black, so you can’t like Trump.”

Kanye continued, “Abraham Lincoln was the Whig Party—that’s the Republican Party that freed the slaves. I ain’t never make a decision based only on my color. That’s a form of slavery — mental slavery. I ain’t drink from the white person fountain. … I ain’t playing with them. All these mind controllers, the media, all of these mind controllers. I find that wherever Christ is where I’ve got my mind at. We find that the love of Christ is where I’ve got my mind back.”

On a music-related note, as far as Kanye’s album, there is still no word on when it will be released.
