The rumor mill can stop buzzing.
Travis Scott has broken his silence in the wake of his breakup with Kylie Jenner. The Houston rapper took to social media on Friday (Oct. 4) to address rumors that he cheated on his ex and the mother of his daughter, Stormi. “It’s really affecting when u see false things said about u once again these false stories about me cheating are just simply not true,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories.
Scott, who dropped a new single “Highest in the City” on Friday (Oct. 4) as well, went on to add, “Focusing on life, music, and family at this moment is what’s real.”
According to reports, following Travis and Kylie’s split, rumors surfaced that he had been cheating with Roneaj Kar. Kar is an Instagram model, who goes by the handle YungSweetRo. She has also denied the cheating allegations. “None of these rumors are true, it’s just the internet creating a false narrative,” Kar wrote on Instagram. “Please stop spreading lies & leave us alone because it’s affecting real lives. Thank you.”
According to TMZ, the former couple reportedly decided to take a break from their relationship of over two years. Kylie is said to have wanted marriage and a second child, while Travis was focused on his career. They are still friends, despite the split, and will continue to co-parent. “Travis and i are on great terms and our main focus right now is Stormi ‼️ our friendship and our daughter is priority,” Kylie tweeted on Thursday (Oct. 3).
In other news, Travis Scott and Three Six Mafia’s DJ Paul have reached a settlement in their $20 million dispute over Scott’s 2018 record “No Bystanders.” According to The Blast, newly filed documents indicate that DJ Paul’s lawyer told the court the settlement has been finished.
The document reads, “However, the parties require additional time to sign all of the paperwork (including paperwork for the U.S. Copyright Office) and to make a settlement payment. I believe that an additional 30 days will be sufficient to fully and finally complete settlement of this matter, and hope that the Court will indulge the parties one last time.”
The case will be closed following the settlement payment.
