On Saturday night (Sept. 28), DaBaby’s concert became a trending topic after his security punched a female fan.
While speaking on the incident in a video uploaded to Instagram, DaBaby’s security, Kane, provided some explanation. “As long as he don’t touch my artist, I’m cool so I’m just gonna get him out of here,” he explained. “Next thing I know, this n—a punched my artist in the back of his head. As you see in the video, a n—a punched my artist in the back of the head. So, you can’t just be punching people in the back of the head and expect nothing to happen to you. So I turned around, seen who did it and I put the person down.”
According to TMZ, DaBaby’s New Orleans concert began to get a bit rowdy at least 30 minutes into his set. A female fan ran over to the Charlotte rapper in an attempt to get a photo. Kane ultimately punched the fan, who ended up falling to the floor. Following the incident, the show was shut down, however, police were not called.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time that DaBaby has encountered a problem during one of his shows. More recently, the rapper was caught on camera punching a fan for grabbing his chain.
In other DaBaby-related news, the 27-year-old released his album, Kirk, on Friday (Sept.27). A few days before that, DaBaby announced that his project was available for pre-order. “Times up. #KIRK THIS FRIDAY. Available For Pre-Order NOW,” DaBaby wrote to Instagram. For this project, DaBaby called on Migos, Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane, Chance The Rapper, Moneybagg Yo, Lil Baby, Stunna 4 Vegas, YK Osiris and Kevin Gates.
