Let’s face it, a co-sign from Rihanna is a big deal.

While speaking with Entertainment Tonight at her star-studded Savage X Fenty Show at the Barclays Center in New York on Tuesday night (Sept. 10), Rihanna admitted that she loves the “Truth Hurts” artist. “Gosh I love Lizzo. She’s so badass,” Rihanna said. “I would collaborate with her on the lights for this interview right now, like Lizzo is so badass.”

Speaking on her adoration further, Riri explained that Lizzo embodies everything her brand stands for. Rihanna believes that Lizzo is an unapologetic confident woman, which she admires.

“She is everything that Savage stands for,” Rihanna said during the interview. “A confident woman, no matter what size, color, shape. Your attitude is what makes you savage. It’s the confidence that you have in yourself and it’s the confidence that you can give off to people who look like you and feel like you and those are the people that identify with the brand.”

This isn’t the first time that Rihanna has shouted out Lizzo. While on Instagram, the “Work” singer spotted Lizzo rocking her lingerie line during her Elle cover shoot. “Strapless bra by @savagexfenty Big up my girl @lizzobeeating and @elleusa for the feature! Literally just saw this in the middle of prep for our show (September 20th on @amazonprimevideo made my day already!” she wrote as her Instagram caption.

Although Rihanna points out that Lizzo is a confident woman, there was a time where the rapper doubted herself. Over the years, Lizzo learned the importance of self-love and not giving up. “I didn’t love who I was,” Lizzo said. “And the reason I didn’t love who I was is because I was told I wasn’t lovable by the media, by [people at] school, by not seeing myself in beauty ads, by not seeing myself in television…by lack of representation. My self-hatred got so bad that I was fantasizing about being other people. But you can’t live your life trying to be somebody else. What’s the point?”
